The Goblin Lodge Incident is the earliest public event in which Goblin Girl can be placed at the centre of a confirmed Toxic Goblin operation. The complete record remains disputed. The pattern does not.
Accounts agree on a remote lodge, a guest who appeared to be travelling alone, and a sudden chain of small disruptions that drew staff and visitors away from the service corridors. By the time anyone understood that the distractions were connected, the clan had already used the building as if it belonged to them.
Arrival
The guest nobody remembered checking in
Witnesses described Goblin Girl as calm, visible, and entirely unhurried. She asked ordinary questions, occupied the most observable parts of the lobby, and gave everyone a harmless explanation for why she was there. That explanation changed slightly depending on who was asked.
The inconsistencies should have attracted attention. Instead, they produced several different stories, each plausible enough to delay a common conclusion. While staff compared notes about the human guest, movement continued in the parts of the lodge nobody was watching.
Disruption
Every problem pointed away from the real one
A service bell rang without a caller. A delivery appeared at the wrong entrance. Power flickered in one wing while a security door remained open in another. None of the events was serious by itself. Together, they created a building full of people walking in the wrong direction.
Goblin Girl did not need to cause every distraction. Her role was to make them feel unrelated. She remained available, memorable, and easy to blame for the kind of minor confusion that did not justify searching basements, roof spaces, or maintenance corridors.
Field noteThe lodge was not breached. It was persuaded to look somewhere else.
The reveal
The first unmistakable clan connection
The surviving accounts become least reliable at the moment the goblins were noticed. Some witnesses reported movement beneath a linen cart. Others remembered laughter in the walls. A damaged camera frame shows Goblin Girl turning toward a service exit seconds before several smaller figures crossed behind her.
What matters is not the exact route. It is her reaction: no surprise, no retreat, and no attempt to warn anyone. She behaved like someone watching a plan reach its scheduled conclusion.
Aftermath
A successful operation with no agreed objective
No public inventory explains what the clan wanted from the lodge. Nothing obvious was stolen, though several objects were later found in places they could not have reached on their own. The guest record for Goblin Girl vanished. So did the camera segment between her arrival and the first alarm.
The Incident endures because it established the method seen in later sightings: enter through the human door, occupy the room’s attention, let the clan turn background spaces into routes, and leave before witnesses agree on what they saw.
