There is no approved confession explaining why Goblin Girl first chose the Toxic Goblin Clan. Anyone offering a tidy origin is selling certainty the archive does not contain. Her continuing loyalty, however, is easier to read.
The alliance works because each side has what the other lacks. Goblin Girl can open human spaces without force. The clan can turn one person’s access into an entire operation. Neither relationship is sentimental, but neither is disposable.
Mutual advantage
She can go where goblins cannot
Human systems are built around recognition: a face that belongs, a reason that sounds normal, a person who knows how to wait without looking like they are waiting. Goblin Girl understands those rituals because she grew up on the human side of them.
For the clan, that knowledge is more valuable than brute force. She can test an entrance, read a room, identify who matters, and determine how much strangeness a place will tolerate before it reacts.
Her side of the bargain
The clan rewards results, not appearances
The human world often asks people to be legible before it lets them be useful. The clan reverses that order. If Goblin Girl can get the door open, hold the gaze, or recognize the trap, the goblins care very little whether her methods look respectable.
That freedom has a price. Belonging to the clan means accepting that every favour can become leverage, every joke can hide an instruction, and every safe place may contain another exit only goblins know about.

In return, the clan treats her as part of the operation rather than part of the scenery. Goblins may test her, inconvenience her, or build a plan that depends on her nerve, but they plan for her return. In the Xenoverse, that is a serious form of trust.
The unresolved question
Did she choose the clan, or recognize herself in it?
The archive cannot prove whether one decisive event created the alliance. The Goblin Lodge Incident may have been a recruitment, a test, or simply the first operation outsiders noticed.
What the record does show is a person who becomes more herself—not less—when the goblins arrive. That may be the simplest explanation. Goblin Girl stays because the clan turns the qualities that make her difficult elsewhere into the exact qualities an operation needs.
